Japanese delegation led by  Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has arrived in Addis Ababa on Monday for an official visit to Ethiopia.

Upon arrival Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn welcomes the delegation at Bole International Airport. The delegation came to Ethiopia finalizing its visit in Cote d’Ivoire  and Mozambique .

Shinzo Abe has held consultations with Ethiopian prime minster and  president Dr. Mulatu Teshome on ways of enhancing bilateral issues particularly to scale up the current $2 Billions trade balance to a higher  level.

Japan is  dedicated to support Ethiopia’s endeavors, infrastructure , health, education, science and technology, investment, trade, and other development sectors.

The Japanese delegation has also held talks with families of Abebe Bikela at Sheraton Addis who won the Tokyo Olympics Marathon in 1964.

The current visit is expected to bolster bilateral relationship of the two countries.
