Ethiopia: TPLF urges youth to advance noble cause for many patriots sacrificed

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia May 9, 2010 – Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) said the present generation should advance the noble cause that many patriots sacrificed their lives.
TPLF special Zone has organized a program for the youth enabling to share experience from the senior members of TPLF and youth’s role in the upcoming national election.

TPLF’s senior members said the forefront generation has paid lives to topple down the oppressive regime.

They called up on the youth to redouble effort to ensure development and democracy in the country to make the martyr alive.

Youth natives of Tigay State living in Arada, Gullelel , Addis Ketema and Kirkos Sub-cities reaffirmed that they would strive to sustain the ongoing development and democratic endeavors.

They said the present generation recognized that the prevailing peace and democracy are the fruits of the bitter struggle waged by the patriots of freedom-loving patriots.

The youth should cast votes based on knowledge and contribute its share towards making the election peaceful and democratic, they said.

More than 2,000 Tigrian youths participated in the program organized in different parts of the metropolis.
