China, Ethiopia adopt visa-free agreement

China and Ethiopia have adopted a mutually visa-free policy for diplomatic and service passport holders entering the other’s borders. The agreement now means diplomatic or service passport holders of China and Ethiopia will not need visas anymore. The move is expected to facilitate exchanges between Ethiopia and China. The two countries reached the agreement in May last year when Chinese Premier Li Keqiang paid an official visit to Ethiopia. Bilateral relations between the two nations have grown rapidly during the past decade.
